About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in medical/surgical/telemetry/PCU. Neuro trauma step-down experience with NIHSS certification preferred. License: Oregon RN license is acceptable, pending licensure is accepted. Certifications: BLS required. ACLS preferred. NIHSS preferred. Must-Have: Experience in management of telemetry, interpretation of cardiac rhythms, and management of dysrhythmias. Ability to manage O2 protocol and non-invasive airway management. Experience in peripheral line care/management and isolation precautions/PPE. Experience with cardiac drips (nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone, Nicardipine, and other IMCU level infusions). Description: The position is for an RN in a medical/surgical/telemetry unit. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients with various medical conditions. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4-6. Shift flexibility is required with weekend coverage every other weekend. The nurse may float to meet facility needs if necessary. Basic Life Support certification is mandatory. Applicants should provide recent experience in telemetry and a detailed profile showing relevant skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for this role. Nurses will work alongside interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services.
