Details regarding our benefits can be found here: Position Overview As a Material Handler I, in our Coach Weld department, you will support a broad range of activities in a dynamic, high energy warehouse environment providing all material to production departments for manufacturing the best rail vehicles in the world. What your day may look like Load, transport, and secure long assemblies, crates, caskets, and bundled materials onto railcars and truck trailers using proper loading procedures and Straddle Carrier equipment. Perform mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies by interpreting engineering drawings, bills of materials, specifications, and work instructions while safely using hand and power tools. Coordinate material movement, kitting, washing, vacuum processing, and disposal activities to support production schedules and maintain workplace organization and cleanliness. Complete work orders, quality documentation, and labor tracking while collaborating with production teams to ensure efficient workflow, on-time task completion, and accurate reporting of progress and issues. Maintain a strong safety culture by adhering to PPE requirements, following all safety protocols, training team members on loading/unloading procedures, and providing work direction to support safe and efficient operations. To thrive in this role, you have High school education, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years mechanical assembly, forklift operation and/or similar machine equipment operation experience. Proven experience operating heavy machinery and equipment, preferably in a manufacturing or transportation setting. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and instructions. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The starting hourly range for this position is $21.40. There is a 10% shift differential for second shift and 20% for third shift.
