We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Commercial Sheet Metal Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure that building systems operate efficiently, reliably, and safely. Responsibilities

• Install, service, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams to accurately diagnose issues.
• Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults in electrical wiring or components.
• Conduct mechanical systems repair including ductwork fabrication, sheet metal work, and equipment troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation and repair projects.
• Diagnose issues with HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems and implement effective solutions to restore functionality promptly.
• Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs or installations performed for client records and compliance purposes.

Qualifications

• Proven construction experience with a focus on mechanical systems installation or maintenance in commercial settings.
• Service technician experience working on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, or related mechanical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of schematics, blueprints, HVAC design principles, building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair and maintenance including air conditioning units, boilers, ventilation fans, and ductwork.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; familiarity with electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters is essential.
• Mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients.
• Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R or electrical diagnostics are preferred.
• Experience operating hand tools and power tools safely; valid van driver’s license is a plus for job site travel.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
