Head of Payroll (North America)

LGC Group seeks an experienced Head of Payroll to oversee US and Canada payroll operations, ensuring accurate payments, regulatory compliance, and vendor management. The role involves payroll processing, tax coordination, system oversight, and cross-functional collaboration with HR and finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, deductions, and tax settlements
- Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems while overseeing processing of personnel changes
- Oversee payroll vendor relationships and manage payroll tax audits with auditors
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain accurate records and reporting
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll issues and answer employee questions
Requirements
- Proven payroll manager or similar leadership experience
- Current knowledge of US and multi-location payroll procedures and regulations
- Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS platforms such as SAP, ADP, or Kronos
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and advanced Excel proficiency
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, HR, or related field
- Professional certification such as CPP or CPM preferred
