We are looking for an experienced tax leader to oversee complex tax matters for a financial services organization. This position is well suited for someone who brings deep expertise in individual taxation for high-net-worth clients and can guide a team while maintaining high standards of accuracy and service. The role offers the opportunity to influence tax strategy, support client needs, and contribute to a collaborative firm environment.

Responsibilities:
• Direct the preparation and review of sophisticated tax filings, with a strong emphasis on returns for high-net-worth individuals and high-income clients.
• Provide day-to-day leadership to tax staff, offering guidance, oversight, and mentoring to support quality work and career development.
• Manage tax planning and compliance activities to help clients and the organization address regulatory obligations effectively and on time.
• Review financial and tax data to identify planning opportunities, resolve issues, and ensure accurate reporting across engagements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on departmental priorities, workflow management, and service delivery improvements.
• Oversee the use of tax and compliance platforms, including Drake-based solutions and related software tools, to maintain efficient processes and reliable documentation.
• Serve as a senior resource for complex tax questions, escalations, and client-facing matters requiring strong technical judgment.

• Active CPA license.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field.

• Approximately 10 to 12 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, corporate tax, or a similar environment.

• Significant hands-on experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for high-net-worth individuals.

• Prior leadership or management experience within a tax function is strongly preferred.

• Working knowledge of tax compliance software, including Drake Tax Software or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with wealth management clients or financial services environments is highly valued.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly to both clients and internal teams.
