Influence Growth.Pharmaron is seeking a strategic and operationally focused Finance Director to serve as the senior finance leader for our Coventry, Rhode Island manufacturing site.This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity for an experienced finance professional who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments and enjoys partnering closely with operational, commercial, and executive leadership teams. The role offers the opportunity to drive financial performance, support business growth, and help shape the future of a growing global organization.Job Overview The Finance Director will lead the finance function for Pharmaron's Coventry site, overseeing financial planning, operational finance, cost accounting, reporting, compliance, and strategic financial support.This role combines financial leadership, operational partnership, and commercial support within a complex pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting site operations, improving financial processes, driving operational efficiencies, and supporting long-term business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & StrategyLead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial modeling for the Coventry sitePartner with site leadership to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-makingProvide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability initiativesOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities ensuring accuracy and timelinessSupport capital investment planning, capital expenditure tracking, and financial evaluation of projectsOperational & Commercial PartnershipPartner closely with operations, manufacturing, procurement, and commercial teams to support site performanceSupport pricing analysis, customer profitability assessments, and commercial decision-makingDrive inventory valuation, standard costing, and working capital optimization initiativesDevelop and improve costing models and operational financial processes to support scalable growthSupport revenue recognition activities and ensure alignment with company policiesGovernance, Compliance & ControlsEnsure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and corporate reporting requirementsOversee payroll reviews, reconciliations, and payroll-related financial controlsSupport external audits, internal control reviews, tax reporting, and other compliance initiativesManage vendor setup and change processes ensuring adherence to company controls and proceduresPartner with corporate teams to enhance financial systems and reporting capabilitiesImplement and maintain inventory control processes to ensure accurate balance sheet reportingTeam LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop the Coventry finance teamFoster a collaborative, accountable, and continuous improvement-focused cultureSupport employee development through coaching, performance management, and succession planningWhat We're Looking ForCPA required with approximately 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experienceCombination of public accounting and industry experience strongly preferredExperience supporting manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotech, or CDMO operations highly desirableStrong background in financial planning, operational finance, cost accounting, and business partneringExperience operating within multinational or matrixed organizationsStrong understanding of financial controls, reporting requirements, and operational finance processesDemonstrated ability to influence decision-making across operational and executive leadership teamsStrong communication, leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skillsSAP or Oracle ERP experience preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredMandarin language skills are a plusWhy Pharmaron?Pharmaron is a premier service provider for the life sciences industry.
