Senior Manufacturing Engineer

PennAero is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at our Martinic Engineering company in Tolleson, AZ. Martinic Engineering manufactures complex, ultra-tight tolerance aerospace components for commercial and defense platforms. As a PennAero Aerospace Center of Excellence, Martinic delivers advanced CNC machining, integrated assembly, and validated performance for mission-critical systems.

Ensures maximum cost effectiveness and the reliability of manufacturing processes and workflow. Determines the methods and sequence of manufacturing operations for intricate and/or complex products and machine parts and assemblies; ensures products and processes meet customer quality requirements. Provides product ability input and manufacturing plans for product design or modification.

Essential duties and responsibilities include evaluating complex manufacturing processes, developing complex manufacturing processes, refining and enhancing products and processes, improving manufacturing efficiency, assuring product and process quality, recommending and implementing changes to manufacturing processes, maintaining professional and technical knowledge, complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements, and sharing specialized knowledge with others.

Education and experience requirements include a Bachelor's degree (BS) in Manufacturing Engineering (or related engineering field), minimum of seven years of engineering experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry, thorough knowledge of manufacturing and production engineering theories, principles, practices, techniques and concepts, broad knowledge of other related engineering areas and general business operations, and ability to work effectively with CAD/CAM systems or other computer-aided manufacturing systems.

Physical demands include sitting, using hands to operate a computer, standing, walking, close vision, regular attendance, ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others and members of the public, ability to manage multiple tasks at once, and occasional travel to vendors or customers including overnight trips.
