Order Checker

Location: Louisville Pay Range: $17.00 – $19.93 hourly (based on experience) Schedule: Open Field Job Overview The Order Checker is primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all Customer Orders leaving the Warehouse by inspecting and verifying completed Orders, documenting any discrepancies, and ensuring corrections before loading for delivery. The role may also review and inspect the accuracy of all Route Delivery trucks upon return, documenting discrepancies and making necessary changes before finalizing the Route Truck Check‑In Process. Duties & Responsibilities Verify the accuracy of Customer Orders by inspecting built pallets to ensure they are adequately built, stabilized, and secure for transportation, and reviewing Pick Tickets to confirm product type and quantity. Communicate with warehouse teammates to correct mistakes. Inspect returning Route Delivery Trucks for proper condition, perform blind counts to compare against reported quantities, and communicate issues to drivers. Make necessary changes before finalizing the Check‑In Process. Document any discrepancies, changes, additions, or subtractions on appropriate reports, and provide information to relevant personnel. Account for all returned products and deposit items on Route Delivery Trucks, ensuring correct classification (out‑of‑date, damaged, good items, pallets). Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area, perform pallet building as directed by management. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Attention to detail, basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication). Ability to work quickly while walking and repetitively lifting up to 30 lbs (in performance) and up to 75 lbs as needed. Ability to collaborate within a team environment. Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes. Adaptability to work in different areas and meet minimum expectations. Ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen. Ability to work in a noisy, non‑climate controlled environment. Self‑starter who takes initiative and seeks value‑add opportunities. Flexibility to accommodate schedule changes with business demands. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Up to 12 months of relevant work experience.
