Site Manager / Construction Manager – Industrial Equipment Installation (Mechanical & Electrical)

Location: Various U.S. Project Sites

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager / Construction Manager to lead industrial construction projects involving mechanical equipment, piping systems, and electrical installations. This role covers Greenfield projects and retrofits, ensuring safe, efficient, and on-budget execution. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, industrial equipment installation, and team leadership. While the position is based on a standard 40-hour work week, candidates should expect periodic overtime, including evenings, weekends, and extended work schedules during equipment installations, plant outages, commissioning, and startup activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site activities for industrial equipment installations, including mechanical and electrical systems.
• Drawing Take- Offs for install bill of materials to construct
• Estimating man hours for construction with Potential Jobs with site measurement and take offs
• Manage Greenfield construction and retrofit projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and plant management to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower plans, and resource allocation.
• Enforce strict safety standards and quality control procedures.
• Monitor progress, prepare reports, and maintain client communication.
• Support procurement, material handling, and change order management.
• Travel (50–60%) to project sites across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in industrial construction, with emphasis on mechanical and electrical equipment installation and piping systems.
• Technical Skills:
• - Equipment installation and commissioning
• - Electrical systems (power distribution, automation, controls)
• - Piping systems (process, water, gas)
• - Blueprint and CAD plan interpretation
• -Scheduling and project tracking tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, PlanGrid)
• -Knowledge of refractory and other thermal systems and installation
• -Burners and burner systems
• Certifications: OSHA 30, CPR (preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Background

• Experience with industrial facility expansions and upgrades, equipment installation/relocation, and automation/control systems.
• Familiarity with lean construction practices and safety compliance programs.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on schedule and within budget.
