PAY RATE: $31.35-$33PerHour BENEFITS: VOALA offers competitive medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE The Program Supervisor III provides experience-based competencies and administrative assistance to further efforts of the program staff to fulfill the contracted goals and objectives. Operations supervisor for larger program, program serving clients with multiple co-morbidities, or program providing multiple services, that may have multiple sites. Program leaders are responsible to meet all program contractual daily Key Performance Indicators including daily program numbers, data quality input, note taking, exits indicators and services provided. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Achieve grant objectives by supervising the program staff, providing expertise, and monitoring service delivery, while providing information to the Director, highlighting progress in reaching goals; Provide direct supervision of professional and operational staff Spend the majority of time (50% or more) achieving organizational objectives through the coordinated achievements of subordinate staff; Advisor and mentor to staff, while performing organizational tasks; Analyzes and resolves problems, interprets policy, demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge; Conducts weekly case conferencing and monthly case files audits with staff to assist participant progress, and assure records are complete and accurate; Monitor program compliance to VOALA policies and required procedures; maintains documentation of all program procedures; Assist Director with implementing policies, procedures and forms that facilitate the effective operation of intensive case management and delivery of high-quality services - train and mentor staff; Steward of program assets and budget, oversees asset protection measures; Coordinate outreach and collaboration efforts with community partners and stakeholders; Other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL ABILITY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT Ability to work and deal with difficult, uncooperative, and potentially aggressive clients as VOALA serves the neediest of the needy in our programs, which may include clients with homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, recently released from incarceration, and other challenges. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Services for this position must be provided on-site. As a result, the positions supervised by this job description are on-site, and supervisors / managers / leaders must be on site to provide proper direction and oversight. PROGRAM OPERATIONS: Responsible for day-to-day Program efforts, providing guidance and supervision for staff, budget oversight, project timelines, and anticipated outcomes; Effectively plans workload of subordinate individuals and programs; budgets, deploys, and organizes resources. RECORD AND TRACK SERVICES: Keep and maintain appropriate records of all services provided to clients, in both hard (paper) and soft (electronic) files, ensuring records are accurate and matching; report regulary to Director progress of project timelines. COORDINATION OF SERVICES: Collaborates with other service providers to link various programs to community resources and supportive services. FUNDER FOCUS: Keep comprehensive records of compliance with Funder and regulatory requirements. TRAINING AND MENTORING: Responsible for case management team’s development through: training, policy and procedure, structured supervision, and learning collaboratives CHANGE LEADERSHIP: Identifies better, faster, more efficient ways to achieve the program goals and objectives. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications Ability to perform under circumstances of possible emotional stress and conflicts dealing with difficult, uncooperative, and potentially aggressive clients as VOALA serves the neediest of the needy in our programs which may include clients with homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, recently released from incarceration and other challenges. EDUCATION: Associate's degree or a combination of relevant education and experience (2 years). EXPERIENCE: One year of post-graduate work in Social Services (3 years total experience if no degree) 18 Months of supervisory experience in a social services organization (leading programs, projects, or staff) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master of Social Work or discipline related to Program services Prior experience as a supervisor or team leader managing (10) or more individuals Experience with managing public contacts (e.g. HUD ESG, SAMHSA) Experience with report development for public funders Knowledge about community resources Experience with HMIS and other relevant databases used by partner service providers Ability to work with people from various backgrounds and/or limited English capabilities Volunteers of America is an Equal Opportunity employer.
