The department does many cardiac rips, we do not nitrate but we manage the drips.Temp to perm is a possibilitySummary:ThecompetentNurse,inthesameorsimilarclinicalsetting,practicesindependentlyanddemonstratesanawarenessofallrelevantaspectsofasituation.Providesroutineandcomplexcare,withtheabilitytoonlong-rangegoalsorplans.Continuestodeveloptheabilitytocopewithandmanagecontingenciesofclinicalnursing.Makesappropriateassignmentsanddelegatestoothercareprovidersasameanstohelpmanagetheclinicalsituation.Responsibilities:MeetsexpectationsoftheapplicableOneCHRISTUSCompetencies:LeaderofSelf,LeaderofOthers,orLeaderofLeaders.ConsistentwiththeANAScopeandStandardsofPractice,providesnursingcareutilizingthenursingprocess,includingassessment,diagnosis,planning,interventionandevaluationforassignedpatients.Addressesincreasinglycomplexpsychological,emotional,cultural,andsocialneedsofpatientandfamiliesinaccordancewiththeirlevelofpractice.Usingtheappropriateprotocol,administersmedicationsandtreatments;monitorsforside-effectsandeffectivenessofthetreatmentprescribed.Documentspatienthistory,symptoms,medication,andcaregiven.Assesslearningneedsandprovideseducationtopatients,familymembersand/orcaregivers;identifyissuesandresources.JobRequirements:Education/SkillsBachelorofScienceDegreeinNursing,preferredExperience1yearofexperienceintherelatednursingspecialtypreferredLicenses,Registrations,orCertificationsBLSrequiredCurrentACLScertificationrequiredRNLicenseinstateofemploymentorcompactPositionRequirements:Education/SkillsAllnewlyhiredexperiencedRNsmustattendNewNursesOrientationwithinthefirst30daysofhire.Newhiresarepreceptedbyadesignatedtrainedstaffmemberandinitialon-boardingrequirementsarevalidatedthroughsuccessfulcompletionofthedesignatedorganizationalentrycompetencyvalidationandaMedSurgspecificcompetencyvalidation.AllnewlylicensedRNsmayparticipateinaresidencyprogramorotherspecificorientation.Skillscompletionandcompetencycompletionwillbeachievedwiththepreceptoratthebedsideanddocumentedthroughtheprogram strackingsoftware.Completionofallannualcompetencyverificationrequirements.ExperienceOneyearofexperienceinarelatednursingspecialtypreferred.WorkSchedule:7AM-7PMWorkType:FullTime General CommentsTypeofpatientsontheunit:MI,CHF,Arrhythmias,PVD,andsomemedsurgoverflow.Thedepartmentdoesmanycardiacrips,wedonotnitratebutwemanagethedrips.Temptopermisapossibility No. of Positions: 1/1.
