Information System Security OfficerThe Opportunity:Maintain responsibility for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for all systems assigned. Assist the ISSM in meeting their duties and responsibilities. Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures as outlined in the security plan. Verify the implementation of delegated aspects of the system security program. Ensure all proper account management documentation is completed prior to adding and deleting system accounts. Verify all system security documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals. Conduct periodic assessments of authorized systems and providing the ISSM with corrective actions for all identified findings and vulnerabilities. Ensure audit records are collected and analyzed in accordance with the security plan. Report all security-related incidents to the ISSM. Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and functioning correctly. Notify the ISSM of any changes to a system that could affect authorization. Serve as a member of the Configuration Control Board (CCB), if designated by the ISSM.You Have:3+ years of experience supporting collateral and special access program (SAP) environments and managing and safeguarding information systems in classified environmentsExperience conducting security assessments, auditing, continuous monitoring, and implementing and maintaining RMF-based security controlsKnowledge of incident response processes and reporting requirementsKnowledge of government security policies such as DoD 5200.01, ICDs, and CNSSI 1253 and NIST SP 800-53, DoD RMF, JSIG, and DAAG standardsAbility to apply security policies and procedures to ensure database and software security, analyze moderately complex security issues, and develop practical solutionsAbility to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, work independently with moderate guidance, and assist junior personnel in understanding security requirementsTS/SCI clearanceHS diploma or GEDDoD 8140 baseline Certification such as Security+ CE CertificationNice If You Have:Possession of strong technical skillscommensurate with the complexity of the systemsDoD 8140 Framework CISSP CertificationClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;TS/SCI clearance is required.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
