As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient care and supporting our orthodontist throughout the treatment journey. You'll help create an exceptional patient experience while contributing to a welcoming and efficient clinical environment.

Schedule (days/hours)

1. Monday 11:30 to 6:30
2. Tuesday 8 to 5
3. Wednesday 8 to 5:30
4. Thursday 10 to 7

Responsibilities

• Handle all bracket adjustments
• Prep and finish all bonds after doctor places brackets and other appliances
• Handle all aligners along with other procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take digital radiographs, photographs, and intraoral scans as needed.
• Change archwires, ligatures, and orthodontic appliances as permitted by state regulations.
• Provide patients and families with oral hygiene instructions and appliance care education.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols.
• Accurately document patient treatment and update electronic health records.
• Manage inventory and ensure operatories are stocked and organized.
• Collaborate with the clinical and administrative team to provide a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications

• Meet all state specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain before start date)
• Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of orthodontic experience

Compensation

$26-$30/hour
