Summary Business Manager – Product Development Advantage Solution is a leading sales and marketing agency specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management, and marketing services for manufacturers, suppliers, and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. We serve a variety of trade channels, including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics, and home centers, bridging the gap between manufacturers and retailers to provide consumers with access to the best products available in the marketplace. What we offer: Full‑Time Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life) 401(k) with company match Training and Career Development Generous Paid Time‑Off Responsibilities Perform, coordinate and lead the execution of the Product Development Pipeline from planning through implementation Define and manage project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business strategy, including appropriate resource allocation Provide direction and support to project team members, cross‑functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders; ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated and executed consistently with company goals Plan and facilitate Pipeline meetings to align team goals and track kick‑off tasks; prepare agendas, meeting notes, and project summaries Perform increasingly complex interactions with key stakeholders, taking ownership and achieving shared business targets Utilize appropriate tools, systems, and analytics to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and plan project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines Managing Execution Ensure execution of the LAMP framework to identify critical initiatives and relationships; work with the team to lay out short‑ and long‑term plans to achieve relationships at the appropriate level for the account or assigned category business unit Allocate resources at the account level or within the assigned category business unit Demonstrate functional expertise in all facets of Private Brand & Branding via on‑the‑job development, educational and networking opportunities Develop strong supplier relationships by obtaining alignment and delivering on mutually established goals Generating Talent Attract, develop and retain key talent to enable the execution of the collective goals of the customer and the enterprise Assure succession plans are in place for critical roles Motivate, direct and inspire team members to deliver on the agreed metrics of the customer and suppliers Identify expected level of decision‑making and risk‑taking for team members Strategic Leadership Execute new strategic initiatives for the account or the assigned categories Support and provide guidance with customer issues relating to cost/value Foster thought leadership within the account team Demonstrate understanding of the Private Brand landscape, best practices and customer positioning in these arenas Typically manage 1-3 direct reports Managing Relationships Direct, delegate and empower team members effectively Supervisory Responsibilities Direct Reports: Hire, retain, train, coach, guide, and develop direct reports using company‑wide processes, tools and resources Indirect Reports: May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports Travel and/or Driving Requirements Travel and driving are not essential duties or functions of this job Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 3-5 years of experience in building and nurturing brands; private‑brand management a plus Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, and web browsers Strong written and verbal communication skills Conflict management skills Decision‑making skills Strong prioritizing skills Excellent customer service skills Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically Environmental & Physical Requirements Office/sedentary environment. Incumbent must be able to perform essential functions, primarily in an office environment. Typically requires ability to sit for extended periods, hear telephone, enter data on a computer, and lift up to 10 pounds.
