Job Summary The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, efficient service and exceptional customer satisfaction. The HVAC Service Technician also plays a key role in troubleshooting complex issues, mentoring junior technicians, and maintaining safety standards. Key Responsibilities Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, ventilation systems, and refrigeration units. Perform regular preventative maintenance on HVAC systems. Team Leadership: Manage schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. Train and mentor junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge. Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues. Provide effective solutions and repair strategies. Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and correctly. Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and concerns. Provide recommendations for system improvements or upgrades. Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality service delivery. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations. Ensure the team follows proper safety procedures. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and local codes. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service calls, work performed, and parts used. Prepare and submit detailed reports on work completed. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred. Experience: 5+ years in HVAC service. Licenses/Certifications: EPA certification required. Valid driving license and good driving record. Skills: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Effective leadership and communication. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations. Physical Requirements Ability to lift heavy equipment. Comfortable working in various environments. Work Environment: The role involves working in commercial, and industrial settings. Availability for on-call work and emergency repairs as needed.
