Respiratory Therapist - Local Contract

WCS Healthcare is partnering with the Department of Health in Norwalk, CT, and we are actively seeking Respiratory Therapists for ongoing contract positions. They are looking for 3 RRT's as they have needs for the Day, Evening, and Night Shifts. Looking for someone who can commit to 20 Hours Per Week.

Job Function:

• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  Shifts: 1st (6am-2pm), 2nd (2pm-8pm), and 3rd shift coverage (weekends) needed (8pm-6am Weekends)
• Administer advanced and basic respiratory therapies including mechanical ventilation, IPPB, aerosol treatments, sputum induction, and postural drainage while monitoring patient response
• Set up, operate, and manage ventilatory support systems; perform cardiopulmonary diagnostics such as ABGs and pulmonary function testing
• Accurately document treatments and patient progress in medical records; develop respiratory care protocols and provide staff education and training
• Participate in emergency resuscitative efforts and maintain equipment through cleaning, sterilization, assembly, and minor repairs

• Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT).
• Active Connecticut RT license.
• BLS/ACLS preferred.
• Previous corrections or acute-care experience helpful but not required
• 1 year of experience.
