IT Technician II

Position purposeProvide technical support to practice offices, CBO, and physicians.Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and system groups.Perform other duties as assignedQualificationsFamiliar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular fields.Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Ability to multi-task.Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager.A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.Required certification in A+, with additional certification required in at least one of the following: Network +, Security +, MCP, CCENT, or VCP. Even without VCP, a basic understanding of VMWare is preferred.Must be able to travel to our offices within and outside of DFW Metroplex.Education: An Associates’ Degree or equivalent and 4 + years of experience in the IT or related field.Experience: 4 + years of IT, or related field, experienceAdditional Qualifications:Required certification in A+, with additional certification required in at least one of the following: Network +, Security +, MCP, CCENT, or VCP. Even without VCP, a basic understanding of VMWare is preferred.Requirements for Level II Status:Intermediate experience (4+ years’ experience) and/or acting more independently.Takes on some additional duties to assist the office.Strong and consistent performer.Performance Requirements:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficient technical (computer) skills.Ability to multi-task and prioritize.Self-motivated with initiative.Strong sense of ethics.Ability to travel to office locations.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds including carrying this amount of weight up flights of stairs.Equipment Operated: This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Work Environment: This job operates in professional office environments.Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
