Residential ManagerVerland is hiring exceptional people to provide compassionate care as a Residential Manager for our Residential locations - CLA division.Location: Squirrel Hill, PA 15217Shift available: 24/7A Residential Manager is primarily responsible for training, scheduling, assigning, and monitoring direct care workers based on the needs of the residents and maintaining high care and compliance standards within their assigned home(s). This is a 24/7 on-call, salaried, exempt position.Contributions:Oversees day-to-day operations of the home to ensure that daily programs and activities are carried out and documented across all shifts.Plans, organizes, and directs the operations of the house; reinforces the hierarchy of care and agency expectations.Supervises staff and ensures the implementation of the individual programs.Monitors goal and procedural objectives implemented by direct care staff and reports findings to the Program Specialist / Program Specialist Manager.Monitors direct care staff functions to ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals.Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.Maintains accurate reporting of incidents and thorough documentation of relevant details.Initiates and/or implements employee disciplinary procedures.Resolves disputes in a fair and timely fashion by following established Policies and Procedures.Interacts within the community relative to the individual and group needs, (i.e.: activities, transportation, medical visits, and tours).Acts as a role model for appropriate employee dress and conduct per Policies and Procedures.Maintains the safety of the individuals by recognizing conditions which present as safety or programmatic concerns.Works as a Direct Support Professional as necessary to meet staffing requirements.Reports all unusual problems to the Program Specialist and/or Health Services Coordinator as appropriate.Trains and supervises newly hired direct care staff in the house and participates in the training and evaluation of assigned staff.Ensures food menus and doctor-prescribed diets are followed and that sufficient groceries are in the house; performs any shopping as needed.Makes certain that direct care staff complete required reports and documentation using stringent monitoring practices, training, and re-education of staff.Ensures that all materials and supplies needed for the homes are available, including maintenance issues at assigned homes, as well as vehicle maintenance.Conducts monthly fire drills and fire safety trainings as required by regulations.Understands and complies with Verland's Mission and Policies and Procedures & HIPAA policies and educates staff on and enforces compliance with these policies.Performs other related duties as required including but not limited to:Participates in inter-departmental venture/committees/processes as needed (e.g.: Human Resources, Quality Management, Fiscal, etc.). Participates in the Inter-Disciplinary Team. Maintains and monitors residents' adaptive and personal equipment. Recommend goals & activities to the Program Specialist.
