Our RN provides clinical leadership to the patient care team for the assigned shift. Responsibilities Provides performance feedback to team members input to Manager/Director regarding appraisals. Planning - Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes. Coordination of Care- Plans and evaluates care in collaboration with appropriate disciplines for assigned patients. Documents and reports care delivered to the physicians and other team members as needed. Knowledge - In collaboration with Leader/Director, actively pursues required knowledge and skills through orientation activities specific to the unit, unit based in-service programs, reading current literature and seeking new clinical learning opportunities. Provides leadership and supervision to health care team during assigned shift. Implementation - Implements care and supervises care delivered by other team members in alignment with the plan of care and approved safety and infection control standards Diagnosis - Analyzes assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnosis, problems, and issues. Relationships - Establishes effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and other members of the health care team. Assessment- Collects pertinent data and information relative to the patient's health or the situation. Recognizes normal and abnormal findings when gathering data. Assesses patients' conditions and care delivery through direct observation, rounding, and data input from other team members. Coordinates bed and patient care assignments during shift and in preparation for the next shift to ensure consistency in care delivery. Outcomes Identification - Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation. Enhances professional growth through classes related to communication, teaching, stress management, conflict resolution, team building annually. (This is in addition to required unit/patient specific education.) Serves as strong, positive role model for other health care team members. Teaching - Employs teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment Requirements ADN [Required] ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support W/I 90 Days [HIGHLY PREFERRED] BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
