Pain Territory Business Manager, Spokane, WA / Boise, ID

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Pain Territory Business Manager to develop physician relationships and drive adoption of JOURNAVX across Central/Eastern Washington and Idaho. The role involves field-based territory management, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration within a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with assigned physicians to drive JOURNAVX awareness and adoption
Develop product expertise and educate healthcare professionals on clinical attributes and appropriate patient use
Create and execute strategic territory business plans identifying growth opportunities and patient-focused solutions
Collaborate with PTAMs, field medical, payer teams, and headquarters to align business strategies and share best practices
Drive sales performance and ensure forecasts meet or exceed assigned territory budgets

Requirements

5+ years biotech sales experience with product launch background
Acute pain market experience and ability to engage diverse physicians
Experience with retail pharmacy stocking and managed care pull-through
Knowledge of inpatient formulary, protocol, and order set implementation
Proficiency with Veeva CRM and other IT platforms
Bachelor's degree
Valid driver's license in good standing

Compensation: $140,000-$160,000 base (also referenced as $120,000-$180,000); eligible for incentive bonus and annual equity awards
