Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential speech-language services as part of a dedicated school-based team near Federal Way, WA. This contract opportunity allows you to support students' communication skills and collaborate closely with teachers and families to foster academic and social success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Washington
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred, but strong clinical skills considered
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
- Able to effectively manage and prioritize a caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs
- Provide direct therapy services that address speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support generalization of skills
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and document services according to district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and school-based initiatives promoting student growth
- Engage in ongoing professional growth to remain current with best practices in speech-language pathology
