Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianSpecialty Operations business unit is accepting online applications for the position Maintenance Technician located in Newton, Iowa through October 22nd, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (Central Time).The purpose of this job is to be responsible for and assist with performing the maintenance of all equipment in the factory, identifying and ordering spare parts, working with contractors to maintain and upgrade the plant, and improving the reliability of the plant. This position is also responsible for ensuring the plant is maintained in a safe and clean condition.Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:Maintain the PlantPerform preventive maintenance tasksSupport predictive maintenance practicesPerform corrective maintenancePerform failure analysis and implement improvementsUpdate and maintain the CMMS information for the plantEnter work order information into the CMMSCalibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant controls, valves, and instrumentsTroubleshoot and repair Motor Control CentersOperate Utility SystemsBoilersAir compressorsWater Treatment systemsOperate equipment such as skid steers, fork truck, man lift, etc.Required Qualifications:High School DiplomaValid driver's license2-year associates degree on Industrial technology, Instrumentation Technician, Industrial technician or equivalent2-5 years of related work experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience in a process plant or production environment experience in biofuels, petrochemical or agricultural sectors preferredAttention to detailAbility to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to provide technical expertise as requiredManage multiple tasks simultaneously and in a timely manner to meet deadlinesWork independently or with others as a team to complete assigned projectsAwareness of new technical developments and ability of applying new knowledge to the processes in place at REGBasic computer skills including excel, word, and outlookStrong technical backgroundSpecial skills or knowledge preferred:Instrumentation and/or controlsCentrifugal pump operation and maintenanceMillwright or mechanic trainingWelding skills or CertificationCause analysisRelocation will not be eligibleInternational assignmentsIMPORTANT NOTE:As part of the application process, you will be required to take a Maintenance Assessment that measures aptitude and work styles.
