The Emergency Department at Exeter Hospital cares for a diverse patient population with a wide range of medical needs. With annual volumes of approximately 33,000 patients, the department is one of the busiest in the Seacoast area. In addition to the main Emergency Department, comprised of 21 beds, there is a 6-bed Minor Care area. Provide direct and constant visual observation of patients for their safety under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Perform LNA responsibilities as required or needed. Requirements High School Diploma or GED NH State Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) CPR Certified within 90 days of hire Strong Communication Skills Strong Customer Service Skills 0-6 months experience Major Responsibilities Provide constant observation to patients who are suicidal by means of video monitoring or direct visualization. Alert nurse if there is a change in the patient's behavior or response that the observer is concerned about. Review observation care plan for the patient with the nurse at the beginning and end of shift. May report food and/or liquid intake.
