Job Summary:

Provides specialized computed tomography (CT) imaging services to patients, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to safety protocols and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Operate CT equipment using appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce precise diagnostic images.
  
  
• 
  Perform daily calibration checks and quality control tests on all imaging equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
  
  
• 
  Inject patients with radioactive material according to physician orders, following established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Document all department activities thoroughly, including logging, charge documentation, and reporting equipment issues.
  
  
• 
  Follow radiation safety guidelines to maintain patient and staff safety, adhering to ALARA principles.
  
  
• 
  Manage and retrieve patient imaging data and films for radiologist interpretation.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Graduate from an JCERT-accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  
  
• 
  Hold a valid New York State License (L.R.T) and current ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 1 year of experience in CT imaging procedures.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in performing CT scans accurately following prescribed protocols.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current BLS certification.
