Inside Sales Representative 1 - Own Quota

About the Role As a dedicated Inside Sales Representative for Shell at WEX, you will sell the value of Shell branded fleet cards to prospective customers, emphasizing the combined WEX and Shell value proposition and overcoming significant price obstacles. Key Responsibilities Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual financial targets (KPIs) by identifying new prospective customers and generating new accounts. Identify underlying business problems and unique requirements for potential clients using open-ended questions. Work in a phone queue, taking incoming calls from prospects and making outbound follow‑up calls. Link product features and benefits to the potential clients’ needs. Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and responses that identify prospective customers’ business problems, their effects, and our solutions. Maintain industry knowledge, including the competitive landscape. Seek additional training on new products and provide feedback to product development groups regarding customer challenges and potential modifications. Gather and submit detailed business information for underwriting and pricing. Maintain accurate records in Sales Force and maximize portfolio potential. Negotiate non‑standard payment terms with new applicants. Anticipate and address potential customers’ objections and concerns; respond to challenging questions, price inquiries, and objections. Understand and leverage the relationship between benefits, value, and price to acquire new customers. Coordinate implementation and delivery of Wex Shell branded fleet products to new customers. Establish a comprehensive customer experience, including consultation and analysis. Follow up on customer issues to ensure resolution via internal and external resources. Plan potential and customer contacts, ensuring a proper balance between existing customers and prospective customers. Build a sufficient pipeline of new customers to maintain the portfolio. Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or 6 months‑1 year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Pass a successful background check. Strong sales skills and knowledge of Integrity Selling. Understanding of the fuel management business is preferred. Proficient computer skills, including Sales Force, Google, Word, and Excel. Proven track record of meeting strict deadlines, quotas, and target metrics. Adaptable and able to shift with changing business needs. Strong negotiation skills. Proficiency in French is a plus. Compensation and Benefits Commission‑based position with an OTE of $60,000+. Base pay range $17.10 – $23.00 per hour; actual pay rates will vary based on qualifications and performance.
