Material Handler -2nd shift

Crown Staffing is now hiring a full-time Material Handler in St. Charles , MO!
Monday- Friday | 2:30pm- 11:00pm | $20.99/Hr
Required Skills/Abilities:
o Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, such as Bill of Materials (BOM), shipping/receiving documents and inventory paperwork.
o Must pass forklift certification exam and maintain certifications.
o Should always maintain impeccable safety record while handling storage and retrieval of items.
o Needs be detail oriented.
o Consistently follows instructions given.
o Must have excellent communication skills.
o Shows initiative and the ability to begin and follow job through to completion with little supervision.


Responsibilities:
o Takes proactive approach to anticipate department needs; understands Push/Pull System (i.e. takes raw goods to department and removes finished goods from department in an orderly manner without hindering flow of production.)
o Sets up and operates equipment to transport and package goods.
o Operates forklift as needed to move, stacks, loads or unloads materials in and about the plant.
o Ensures scanning accuracy in all aspects of material handling.
o Runs a banding machine, shrink wrap machine, bar code reader, and computer terminal when needed.
o Obtains and maintains excellent product knowledge including model, raw goods and part numbers as required to make assembled product.
o Ensures parts/products are delivered and picked-up as required.
o Palletizes, stacks and places items in storage locations according to their size, shape, weight, quantity, type, and number codes.
o Completes preventative maintenance of equipment and machinery to maintain good working order.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
o Accurately completes required paperwork for inventory.
o Utilizes computer skills for inventory transactions in IQMS.
o Serves as a stand in for Receiving Associate as needed.
o Owns the Parts Requisition Delivery Process and works with production associates to follow process.
o Report offenders of the Parts Requisition Delivery Process
