Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an OR RN for a Level III Trauma OR position requiring 1-2 years of experience and a Massachusetts RN license.

Job Details

• Level III Trauma OR in a complex community hospital setting,
• Multispecialty circulating role with independent basic aseptic technique,
• Uses Mako and Davinci surgical systems,
• Pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient population,
• 1:1 clinician to patient ratio,
• 15-bed unit with approximately 30-40 patient cases per day,
• EPIC charting system used,
• 13-week assignment at 40 hours per week,
• Rotating Day/Evening shifts with 1-2 rotations to evenings (1p-11:30pm) per 4-week schedule,
• Weekend rotation required, 1-2 shifts per 4-week schedule,
• Night shift does not require rotation,
• No floating required,
• On-call required, including 1 holiday call, 2-3 weekday calls, and 1-2 weekend calls per 4-week schedule,
• Weekend shifts include an on-call component (e.g., working 7a-5:30p with call from 5:30p-11p),

Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted),
• AHA BLS certification required,
• 1-2 years of OR nursing experience required,
• Experience circulating independently across multiple surgical specialties,
• Experience with Mako and Davinci systems required,
• BSN and CNOR preferred,
• Scrub experience preferred,
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed,

• Provide circulating nursing care across multiple surgical specialties in a high-acuity trauma OR environment,
• Local candidates accepted with permanent residence within 60 miles of Boston, subject to a reduced rate,
