Group Leader

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Part-Time Group Leader to inspire and guide youth in a dynamic, engaging environment. As a vital member of our team, you will lead youth activities, foster positive development, and ensure a safe, inclusive space for children to learn, grow, and thrive. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working flexible hours that fit your schedule. The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development, possesses strong leadership skills, and has experience working with children in various settings.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate engaging youth group activities, including educational programs, recreational games, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures
- Maintain a safe environment by supervising children closely and implementing proper behavior management techniques
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and emergency response plans
- Foster positive relationships with children by providing encouragement, guidance, and support tailored to their developmental needs
- Collaborate with team members to plan age-appropriate curriculum that promotes childhood development and social skills
- Monitor attendance and keep accurate records of participation and activity outcomes
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress or concerns when necessary
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings
- Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse group of children
- Experience facilitating youth group activities or similar programs such as tutoring or theater experience is preferred
- Ability to work outdoors comfortably in various weather conditions for outdoor work experience
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for youth development and Christian counseling (if applicable)
