Summary Of Job:


We are seeking an experienced Maintenance professional to lead plant maintenance, equipment reliability, and repair activities in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for improving equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, managing maintenance costs, coordinating maintenance activities with Operations, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The Maintenance Manager will oversee maintenance personnel, work schedules, work orders, spare parts inventory, equipment inspections, shutdown activities, and maintenance projects while promoting a culture of safety, continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence. Ideal candidates will have strong maintenance and reliability experience, proven supervisory leadership, knowledge of bulk solids handling equipment and industrial systems, and experience working in mining, light industrial, salt, food, or packaging environments.


Job Responsibilities:


• Promote a strong safety culture through leadership, actions, and consistent adherence to safety protocols.


• Improve equipment and facility reliability and minimize downtime through preventative maintenance, repairs, and continuous improvement.


• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities with Operations and other plant departments.


• Manage maintenance activities and costs within the approved plant budget.


• Create a positive work environment that promotes safety, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and compliance.


• Communicate regularly with senior management and other departments regarding maintenance schedules, equipment issues, repairs, and plant priorities.


• Manage and organize the maintenance and repair of pumps, grinders, mixers, and other industrial equipment.


• Conduct routine machinery inspections to identify defects, verify safe operation, and ensure proper use of required protective equipment.


• Monitor inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiate reordering ahead of anticipated needs.


• Prepare work schedules, assign maintenance tasks, and ensure attendance records comply with company policies.


• Develop, review, and enforce safety programs and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).


• Identify process gaps and manage corrective action plans related to maintenance, reliability, and equipment performance.


• Manage work order creation, tracking, filing, assignment, and completion verification.


• Coordinate periodic and scheduled equipment shutdowns with Operations and other departments.


• Obtain vendor quotes and develop project scopes to support requests for quotation (RFQs).


• Ensure maintenance records and documentation are accurate, complete, maintained, and readily accessible.


• Assist with preparing the maintenance area and records for SQF audit readiness.


• Assist with fire drills, mock disaster drills, product recall drills, and other emergency preparedness activities.


• Oversee the day-to-day activities of maintenance personnel in accordance with department goals and company policies.


• Establish clear goals, priorities, and deliverables for direct reports and the maintenance department.


• Provide ongoing, constructive feedback and coaching to assigned employees.


• Address employee performance and disciplinary matters in accordance with company policy.


• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.


• Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, reliability, productivity, and overall plant performance.

Job Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related technical field preferred.


• Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant industrial maintenance experience may be considered, with a strong electrical background and hands-on PLC experience.
