## Essential Functions

• Under administrative direction, serves as a Senior Systems Analyst

for the Department of Innovations & Technology (DoIT) supporting the

Illinois State Police (ISP) performing complex system design and

development tasks in web application design, construction and

maintenance.

• Conducts and coordinates investigative and analytical studies of

complex system functions and operations, determining and selecting

effective approaches to resolve complex problems or enhance the

efficiency of existing systems.

• Serves as a lead developer coordinating analysis and programming

functions on web development assignments of high complexity.

• Serves as a team lead providing technical guidance, system

information and instruction to other IT team members, assisting with

specific work issues requiring a broader knowledge of subject matter

processing.

• Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology

field by continuing education through online training platforms,

meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase

familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors,

techniques, and procedures.

• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably

within the scope of duties enumerated above.

## Minimum Qualifications

• Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to

completion of four (4) years of college with course work in computer

science or directly related fields.

• Requires three (3) years of professional experience in Application

Services or a related Information Technology field.
