Position Summary

The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for processing high-volume payroll transactions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely employee payments. This role requires a highly organized professional who can manage multiple deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and provide outstanding internal customer service.
Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume payroll for hourly and salaried employees
• Review, audit, and validate timesheets, attendance records, and payroll inputs
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, bonuses, overtime, deductions, and commissions
• Maintain employee payroll records and update payroll information as needed
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Assist with payroll tax reporting, garnishments, and benefit deductions
• Process new hires, terminations, and payroll adjustments
• Reconcile payroll reports and identify discrepancies for correction
• Support month-end and year-end payroll activities
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Partner with HR and Accounting teams to ensure seamless payroll operations

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Experience handling high-volume payroll in a multi-employee environment
• Strong knowledge of payroll practices, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
• Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
