Registered Nurse - Med/Surg - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position for a night shift nurse, requiring weekend availability as scheduled. Shifts are 12 hours long, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg unit that currently has 20 beds due to staffing needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong Med/Surg experience and have familiarity with a diverse patient population, including those with diagnoses such as CHF, pneumonia, abdominal pain, and postoperative recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist and manage respiratory therapies such as CPAP and BiPAP.
• Document patient care and clinical assessments accurately in Epic.
• Participate in unit orientation and training, including medication management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license.
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certification recommended but not required.
• Strong Med/Surg background due to the variety of patient conditions.
• Epic experience is mandatory.
