We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join a collaborative accounting team in West Michigan. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on transactional accounting experience who enjoys staying busy, working with numbers, and contributing to accurate day-to-day accounting operations.

The Billing Clerk will support a variety of functions including billing, invoicing, cash posting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and general accounting support. Candidates do not need experience in every area. We're looking for someone with a solid accounting foundation, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to pitch in where needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customer billing and invoices
• Post and apply incoming cash receipts and payments
• Support Accounts Receivable transactions and account maintenance
• Assist with Accounts Payable and invoice processing as needed
• Process a consistent volume of accounting transactions accurately and efficiently
• Research and resolve routine billing, payment, and invoice discrepancies
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with additional transactional accounting responsibilities as needed
• Work collaboratively with a lean accounting team
• Learn and follow established company accounting processes and procedures

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, accounting clerk, cash application, or similar transactional accounting work preferred
• Experience with billing, invoicing, cash posting, payment processing, AP, or AR
• Comfortable working with a steady volume of transactions
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Organized and able to manage routine deadlines and priorities
• Dependable and accountable with a team-first mentality
• Comfortable supporting multiple accounting functions as business needs change
• Willingness to learn established systems and processes

Pay Details: $24.00 to $27.00 per hour
