Job Title : Assistant Teaching Professor or Associate Teaching Professor, Division of Applied Social Sciences (DASS) Overview This non‑tenure track, nine‑month appointment primarily supports undergraduate instruction in the Personal Financial Planning (PFP) program, with potential contribution to graduate instruction as needed. Responsibilities Primary responsibility for teaching upper‑division courses that comprise the CFP® Core curriculum (Employee Benefits and Retirement Planning; Estate and Gift Planning; Tax Planning; Risk Management; Investment Management; Financial Planning Capstone). Courses may be delivered via traditional classroom, hybrid, and/or online formats. A central responsibility is preparing students to meet the education requirement to sit for the national CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ exam. The successful candidate may also teach selected lower‑division courses and provide undergraduate and/or graduate advising and service activities consistent with the instructional mission of the program and division. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications A PhD degree in Financial Planning or a related field by the time of appointment. Evaluation Criteria Highest degree earned. CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificate status. Qualifications to teach the described courses. Experience working with undergraduate students in a learning and mentoring environment. Experience with e‑learning and technology‑related educational innovation. Experience with advising, recruitment, and industry connections for undergraduates and graduates.
