As a Security Officer Experienced Patrol in Baton Rouge, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a prominent cultural arts location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for guests, staff, and visitors. This role blends routine patrols, customer service, and clear communication while reflecting Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a people-first culture.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution location.
Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, exhibit areas, lobbies, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor public areas and entry points, assist with directional guidance and visitor inquiries, and help to support orderly access during daily operations, special events, and/or high-traffic periods.
Observe and report security-related concerns, policy violations, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious behavior while maintaining a professional presence and following post instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
