Are you ready to move the world forward? How You Will Contribute Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the CNC Operator position in the Global Utility Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will operate the CNC Machines in a safe and efficient manner to aid in the fabrication process of Valmont products. Additionally, you will… Assist team members with other departmental tasks, cleaning, and general equipment maintenance Work under the direction of the leader and report directly to the Shift Supervisor Operate the CNC burn table, drill press and other cutting or burning equipment and keep the department environment clean and safe Inspect all parts produced to ensure quality standards Maintain a clean and greased machine and perform daily TPM Operate overhead crane, plate blaster, cutting torch and forklift as needed Wear required personal protective equipment and follow facility safety regulations Maintain a safe and productive working environment What It Takes Required Qualifications The ability to accurately use and read a tape measure, thread gauges, micrometer, protractor, and dial calipers The ability to work effectively in a team environment Must have a high awareness for safety at all times The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues The ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions The ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess High School Diploma or GED equivalent One year of previous experience operating a CNC drill One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment One year of previous experience operating hand and/or power tools in a professional environment The ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.
