Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) - Senior

As MTSI continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced HR professional who will serve as a trusted partner to leaders and employees, helping strengthen leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and alignment with MTSI's core values. This role will work in‑person at our Las Vegas office and will be instrumental in building and sustaining a strong local culture while reinforcing our core value that Employees Come First . Key Elements of the HRBP Role Consultative Partnership – Serve as a trusted advisor across HR initiatives including performance development, mentorship, employee relations, leadership readiness, and organizational effectiveness. Leadership Focus – Help reinforce MTSI's culture and leadership expectations while enabling team members to perform at their highest potential. Employee Engagement – Champion visible support of employee programs, recognition initiatives, community outreach, and activities that reinforce MTSI's commitment to being a Best Place to Work. Employee Relations & Workplace Environment – Partner with leaders to address workplace concerns, provide coaching and guidance, and ensure issues are handled fairly and in alignment with MTSI's core values. HR Compliance – Support policies, programs, and practices that ensure a healthy workplace while maintaining compliance with applicable employment laws, including those unique to federal contractors. Key Responsibilities Partner with local and regional leaders to manage and resolve performance issues and opportunities. Serve as a strategic business partner focused on a transformational talent agenda designed to attract, develop, and retain the best talent in the industry. Understand business strategies and how to leverage and implement high‑impact human capital solutions. Analyze workforce data and organizational metrics to provide insights that support leadership decision‑making and workforce planning. Help foster a culture of innovation or entrepreneurialism in an environment that requires high levels of scalability, security, and reliability. Provide daily support and partnership to leaders on employee attraction, development, and retention issues, including handling annual reviews, advanced HR reporting and metrics, and special project assistance. Partner closely with other HR leaders to deliver superior results to the business. Support and deliver programs related to workforce planning, talent management, change management, leadership development, employee engagement, and cultural alignment. Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees by providing thoughtful guidance on workplace challenges and human capital opportunities. Serve as a role model and thought leader on Human Capital issues and opportunities. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related business discipline. 8 to 12+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources; experience with a defense contractor is required, including effectively managing confidential or sensitive information; government clearance is a plus. Experience in HR areas including career development, employee relations, compensation, labor laws; experience in employee and leadership development, HR operations, and compliance at a high‑growth organization; strong aptitude for process and technology. Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding, new hire orientation programs, recognition programs, and employee learning and development activities. Handle employment‑related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Experience serving in a shared service or support operations environment. Experience partnering with, collaborating with, and coaching others. Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel). Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and work with a sense of urgency. Experience leading and supporting change; can establish and maintain credibility to employees and leadership; is highly organized and self‑motivated; and desires to learn continuously. Outstanding team player with a positive engaged attitude. Experience with tools such as SAP SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, Eightfold, and other modern HR technology platforms is helpful. Clearance US Citizenship required. Current active clearance is a plus. Travel The position requires moderate travel (10–20%) to customer and office locations across the United States. Benefits Starting PTO accrual of 20 days PTO/year + 10 holidays/year. Flexible schedules. 6% 401(k) match with immediate vesting up to $9,000 annually.
