The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals are consistently met. This role leads and develops a production team, drives continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and Lean, and makes timely decisions to adjust plans and schedules in response to changing customer requirements. The position requires strong leadership, clear communication across all levels of the organization, and a focus on optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and performance.

• Lead and supervise production staff to ensure productivity targets, quality standards, and customer satisfaction objectives are achieved.
• Plan, organize, and adjust production schedules and resources to meet changing customer requirements and deadlines.
• Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Lean manufacturing activities, and improvement events.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and motivation to team members to support high performance and engagement.
• Handle employee-related matters such as performance reviews and record-keeping in a timely and accurate manner.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with team members, peers, and leadership across all organizational levels.
• Identify opportunities to improve production processes, workflows, and work standards to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support and enforce adherence to established work standards, safety practices, and production procedures on the shop floor.
• Use SAP and MS Office tools to track production metrics, prepare reports, and present information to stakeholders.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot production issues, equipment concerns, and process bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build positive working relationships and foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Define problems, gather relevant data, analyze information, and make logical, data-driven decisions to support production goals.
• Support CNC machining operations, including oversight of CNC mills and lathes, and assist with programming and troubleshooting as needed.
• Ensure proper application of GD&T and G-code in machining processes, maintaining quality and dimensional accuracy in finished products.

• 1–3 years of production supervisory experience, or comparable experience in a lead role within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in production operations, preferably within an industrial or machine shop setting.
• Working knowledge of CNC mill and CNC lathe operations, including basic programming and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and G-code as they apply to machining processes.
• Demonstrated experience applying Lean manufacturing principles and participating in 5S or similar continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency in SAP for systems usage, production tracking, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including the ability to use tools and create presentations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address production and process-related issues.
• Ability to build positive relationships, foster team collaboration, and maintain a constructive work environment.
• Aptitude for defining problems, gathering data, analyzing information, and drawing logical conclusions to support decision-making.

• Associate’s Degree or Technical Degree preferred.
• Experience supervising or leading teams in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with production work standards and manufacturing processes.
• Background in troubleshooting production and equipment issues in a machine shop environment.
• Experience working in large industrial plants with complex production operations.
• Comfort working extended hours and additional days when needed to meet production and customer demands.

This role is based in a large industrial plant with a typical machine shop environment. The facility is not climate controlled and can be dusty, reflecting a traditional, hands-on manufacturing setting. The position is physically demanding and requires being on your feet throughout the shift. The standard schedule runs from approximately 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with work on most Fridays as well, providing a consistent second-shift structure. Employees work around CNC equipment and other production machinery and are expected to follow appropriate safety practices and wear suitable industrial attire for a physical, shop-floor role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dalton, GA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Dalton,GA.
