Full-Time | Three 12-Hour Shifts Per Week

Are you a natural leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about helping others succeed? We're seeking a dedicated Residential Supervisor to provide leadership, coaching, and support within our residential treatment, crisis respite, and emergency shelter programs.

This is an opportunity to play a critical role in shaping a positive, therapeutic environment while mentoring direct care staff and ensuring exceptional support for the individuals we serve.

What You'll Do

As the Residential Supervisor, you will serve as the behavior management milieu lead during your shift, providing hands-on supervision, guidance, and coaching to care providers. Through meaningful on-the-job teaching, real-time support, and thorough documentation, you'll help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment for both staff and residents.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and supporting care providers during assigned shifts
  • Modeling and reinforcing effective behavior management strategies
  • Providing ongoing coaching, mentoring, and staff development
  • Ensuring accurate and timely documentation
  • Supporting residential treatment, crisis respite, and emergency shelter service lines
  • Collaborating closely with Residential Supervisors and Resident Case Managers to maintain continuity of care and program operations
  • Participating in the on-call rotation for residential homes
  • Other duties as assigned
Schedule
  • Full-time position
  • Three 12-hour shifts per week
  • 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
  • Includes weekends and holidays
  • Participation in the agency's on-call rotation is required

Requirements

Education/Training/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, social work desired. Commensurate experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Ideal 1 year experience in residential care facility; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ideal 1 year experience working in school or inpatient setting working with young people with behaviors rooted in trauma.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
Licensures/Certifications:
  • Must pass enhanced federal background check
  • Clearance with the National Sex Offender Registry

  • Must use reasonable precautions in the performance of one's duties and adhere to all applicable safety rules and practices; and act in such a manner as to ensure at all times maximum safety to oneself, children, colleagues, and visitors.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Experience with crisis intervention, working with youth in crisis, and with individuals undergoing acute episodes of psychiatric distress.
  • Skills in supervising, evaluating, and disciplining staff of professionals and paraprofessionals.
  • Familiarity with community support systems, health care and human service resources, court and police activities, etc.
  • Good organizational skills and administrative abilities.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to adhere to a professional code of ethics.
Physical Demand Analysis:

General Physical Requirements
  • Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Physical Activities
  • Climbing: Ascending or descending stairs, ramps, and the like using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. This factor is important if the amount and kind of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.
  • Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
  • Kneeling: Bending legs at the knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
  • Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
  • Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for medium distances or moving from one work site to another.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.
  • Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
