An Inside Sales Representative opportunity has opened up with an innovative scientific instrumentation business at the forefront of biological imaging technology. The Role
Based 3 days a week in the San Diego office, the Inside Sales Representative will focus on uncovering and advancing commercial opportunities across a defined portfolio of research accounts, fuelling the wider revenue engine. This involves reaching out proactively to scientific communities, assessing inbound enquiries against clear fit and timing criteria, and arranging well-qualified discovery conversations for the right field or commercial colleague. Account mapping, stakeholder nurturing, and keeping contact records current will all be part of the day-to-day rhythm, as will following up on activity generated through events, digital campaigns, and industry conferences. Every opportunity handed across to the field team should arrive with a clear picture of the customer's needs, timeline, and key decision-makers already established.

What experience does the Inside Sales Representative need?
- Experience gained from working in a life sciences commercial environment - whether in field sales, business development, or an account-focused role - with evidence of contributing meaningfully to revenue growth.
- The scientific confidence to engage credibly with researchers and technical stakeholders around complex instrumentation and laboratory workflows.
- A disciplined, organised approach to outbound outreach, lead management, and follow-through, backed by strong written and verbal communication.
- Practical familiarity with CRM platforms and sales engagement tooling, plus an ability to work fluidly alongside field sales, marketing, and applications teams.
