The option of a flexible 40-hour workweek is possible within certain teams.ResponsibilitiesAssisting a practicing dentist at their chair during examination and treatment of patients, including operative and surgical casesSterilize dental instruments and toolsProvide chair-side assistance during dental proceduresRegularly and consistently meet quality and patient care standards established by managementProvided fantastic customer service while performing exceptional patient care.Oversee sterilization of dental instruments and toolsMaintain inventory, and ordering supplies needed to provide patient careDemonstrate proficiency in taking patients dental health histories and vital signs, as well as providing premium patient careEducate and provided patient care in a fast-paced dental officeCommunicate with the Dental Director regarding proposed changes, developments, and opportunities affecting the dental programRelied upon to organize, sanitize, and maintain patient care areas.Assist the Doctor in patient care, and laboratory duties.Documenting, establishing, and maintaining patients' history in Dentrix systemMonthly auditing of inventory supply to replenish and order as neededVerify appointments and direct patients to proper clinical or administrative areaSchedule appointments for patients in person or on the telephoneAnswer, screen, and direct incoming callsPrepare letters, information packets, other correspondences as neededAssisting the patient recruitment and growth of clinicEnsure compliance with industry rules and regulationsAttend trainings and educational opportunities to remain current in best dental assistant practicesMaintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines and take corrective action with the support of management if necessaryFollow OSHA regulations and safety requirementsAttend monthly all staff meetings and mandatory organizational trainingQualificationsHigh School graduate or GED equivalentGraduation from an accredited Dental Assistant Program preferredPrefer at least one year experience in a dental office which included assisting a dentist in patient treatmentPrevious experience with the Dentrix EDR system preferredMust be caring and compassionate and willing to work with a diverse patient population, treating patients equally regardless of medical condition, income level, race, religion, etc.Availability to work evening hoursRate: $19.00-$21.00 an hour.
