Direct Agent Strategy & Recruitment Manager - Hybrid - Must live in Orange, CA

Position Overview Alignment Health is a hybrid‑based organization located in Orange, CA, focused on serving seniors and those with chronic illnesses. The Direct Agent Strategy & Recruitment Manager reports to the Senior Vice President, Sales and leads the growth of the direct agent sales channel. Job Responsibilities Develop and execute the direct agent recruitment strategy to achieve recruitment and engagement goals. Design and streamline a simple, efficient onboarding process for direct agents. Manage recruitment vendors and oversee marketing tactics. Collaborate with regional sales leaders to tailor recruitment plans to market needs and growth opportunities. Monitor and report on recruitment activities, onboarding results, and engagement metrics. Propose enhancements to the direct agent value proposition. Build relationships with new and existing agents to facilitate transition of sales oversight at the market level. Increase agent channel unique seller and average application rates across all markets. Communicate direct channel success proof points. Provide consultative feedback on competitive landscape and SWOT to sales leadership. Manage outlier direct channel agents in coordination with local sales leadership. Identify, measure, and evaluate high‑book‑of‑business agents to boost retention and persistency. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Job Requirements 5–8 years of relevant experience with strong knowledge of CMS Marketing Guidelines. Minimum of 2 years of general sales, community outreach, or clinical outreach experience. Preferred: 2+ years of sales or marketing strategy experience; 2+ years of people‑management experience; Medicare knowledge and/or health insurance background. Experience in talent acquisition, recruitment marketing, or agent/broker recruiting preferred. Experience designing or improving onboarding programs or recruitment processes. Experience partnering with sales leadership or operating in sales‑driven organizations. Experience managing external vendors, agencies, or third‑party partners. Excellent public speaking, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical skills with data‑driven decision making. Exceptional computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Education Bachelor’s degree preferred. Training and Licensure Required: AHIP and Medicare carrier annual certification. Preferred: Specialized skills training. Required: Current and active life insurance license in the respective selling state. Physical Function Requirements Must be able to talk or hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands, and handle objects. Must lift or move up to 10 pounds and maintain close vision and focus. Compensation $113,332.00 - $169,999.00 (varies by location, education, responsibilities, and experience).
