Senior Counsel position supporting RayzeBio's intellectual property function, focusing on patent strategy and prosecution for radiopharmaceutical programs. The role encompasses global IP management, patent portfolio development, and cross-functional collaboration with research, regulatory, and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive IP legal support for radiopharmaceutical development programs
Prepare, draft, and prosecute patent applications globally, including managing office action responses
Develop and manage patent portfolios to protect innovations and advance business objectives
Conduct freedom-to-operate analyses and patent landscape reviews with strategic counsel
Support business development through IP due diligence and transaction drafting and negotiation

Requirements

8+ years patent prosecution experience in small molecules, radiopharmaceuticals, or peptide chemistry
Registered to practice before U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
J.D. degree and admission to practice law in any U.S. state or District of Columbia
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or pharmaceutical sciences
Combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred
Advanced degree and/or scientific research experience in radiopharmaceutical or peptide chemistry preferred

Compensation: $257,030 - $311,462 base
