Fleet Operations Manager Location: Linden, NJ Avenel, NJ Staten Island, NY Pay: $23.00-$26.00/hour Work Environment Onsite position supporting fleet operations across New Jersey and New York locations. The role focuses on maintaining fleet readiness, coordinating service providers, supporting customers, and ensuring operational efficiency throughout the vehicle lifecycle. You will coordinate vehicle maintenance, manage vendor relationships, perform inspections, maintain records, and help improve fleet performance and operational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Oversee assigned fleet operations and vehicle inventory Conduct detailed vehicle inspections Coordinate detailing, cleaning, and refueling services Schedule maintenance and repair activities Maintain accurate operational records and fleet documentation Support customer accounts and resolve fleet-related issues Build strong relationships with clients and vendors Monitor fleet performance and operational metrics Recommend process improvements and cost-saving opportunities Ensure vehicles meet readiness and service standards Required Skills & Experience Fleet management, logistics, transportation, or rental experience Strong customer service background Experience working with vendors and service providers Excel and data entry proficiency Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage competing priorities effectively Top Skills Must Haves: Fleet Management Vehicle Rental Operations Management Logistics Coordination Customer Service Excel Data Entry Nice-to-Have Skills: Rental Software Experience Fleet Maintenance Transportation Operations Vehicle Inspections Account Management Vendor Coordination Continuous Improvement Initiatives Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Staten Island, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
