About the Position

Job Title

Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 hours per week with rotating weekends | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 40-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a 1:7 patient ratio
• Perform unit-specific procedures including EKGs, glucose monitoring, and venipuncture
• Document patient information and care activities using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including a clinical nurse coordinator, patient care technicians, and a unit coordinator each shift
• Adhere to floating policy, which requires contract staff to be first to float to like units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care experience in a Med/Surg setting
• Ability to work rotating weekends as part of a 36-hour weekly schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
• Previous travel nursing experience in a Med/Surg environment
• Familiarity with standard medical/surgical equipment and workflows in a large acute care hospital setting
