About the Role
The Company is seeking a Dean for its College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. The successful candidate will serve as the chief executive officer of the College, providing strategic and operational leadership for its academic programs, research enterprise, and external engagement mission. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of the College, particularly in the context of the institution's Preeminence 2030 research growth strategy. The Dean will be responsible for developing and advancing a strategic vision that aligns with the College's strengths in research, engagement, and inclusive excellence, while also supporting the growth of research and scholarship, and fostering a culture of student success. Applicants for the Dean position at the company's College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences should possess a terminal degree in agriculture, environmental sciences, or a related discipline, with academic credentials suitable for the rank of full professor. A minimum of 3 years' of significant senior leadership and administrative experience is required, along with a successful record in fundraising, excellent budget management skills, and a commitment to student learning and diversity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural extension, experience in holistic student success, and a proven track record in extramural research funding. The Dean will also be expected to champion a welcoming climate for all, with a focus on equity, inclusion, and the advancement of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
