FUTURE SALARY INCREASES

June 2027 – 5.10% increase to base pay (3.0% Across-the-Board + 2.10% Market Adjustment) Revenue and Recovery Officer Trainees are responsible for the collection of debts owed to the County, assisting with victim services customer inquiries and assisting with the lien services demand process. Revenue and Recovery Officer Trainees obtain and analyze financial information; negotiate payment agreements; enforce collections through written correspondence, telephone and personal interviews; and determine the feasibility of pursuing litigation. Revenue and Recovery Officer Trainees also assist in the establishment, maintenance, and monitoring of accounts receivable records. Revenue and Recovery Officer Trainees spend a large amount of time in contact with members of the public over the phone and in person. Note: Current County employees may be excluded from additional background screening. Pre-employment Medical Screening: Approximately 3 days following successful background investigation results. Anticipated Start Date: Start date will be based upon successful completion of medical screening or other mutually agreed upon date. Minimum Qualifications Two (2) years of full time clerical experience in a debt collection agency; OR , One (1) year of debt collection experience in a public, private, or retail credit or debt collection environment; OR , An associate of arts degree (AA) or higher from an accredited U. S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency. Note: For your education to be considered, you must attach a copy of your degree, transcripts, diploma, and foreign equivalency report to your application.
