About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in the legal industry, particularly within a large or sophisticated law firm environment. The CFO will be a key strategic hire, working closely with the Managing Partner and C-Suite to take ownership of the firm's financial operations, accounting infrastructure, reporting, controls, and long-term financial strategy. This role is pivotal in managing the unique financial dynamics of a legal practice, including case-cost advances, settlement disbursements, and trust/IOLTA accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management, as well as developing financial models, KPIs, and forecasts to support executive decision-making. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a proven track record in a similar role within the legal industry. The role requires a deep understanding of the financial intricacies of a legal practice, particularly those with a contingency-fee structure. The CFO will also be tasked with maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring accurate financial and regulatory reporting, and managing key financial relationships. Experience in financial due diligence, acquisition modeling, deal structuring, and integration is essential to support the firm's growth strategy.
