What youll do:

• Support the Firm's financial operations by managing firm-wide daily cash application and facilitating the client billing cycle for assigned clients.
• Apply daily cash receipts, including pre-paid deposits, credit card and Zelle payments, ACHs, and wires to respective client matter record or trust account.
• Balance to daily deposit reporting.
• Unpost A/R payments, NSF checks and document such requests according to established procedure and in alignment with policy.
• Research cash application inquiries from attorneys, clients and teammates in a timely manner, correct discrepancies, and document outcomes.
• Manage the full billing cycle for designated clients and/or attorneys, including importing and posting time to the firms accounting system and preparing and processing pre-bills through final billing.
• Assist with reversals, rebilling and writing off invoices as directed.
• Research billing inquiries from attorneys, clients and teammates, correct issues and document outcomes.

Who you are:

• Someone with vocational training, certification or college education in the area of accounting or business math, or equivalent professional experience.
• Someone with at least two (2) years of experience specifically in accounts receivable, cash application, and billing using Juris or another legal industry accounting system, including knowledge of tables such as cash, rates, costs, billing formats and related others.
• A self-starter with outstanding mathematical and technological aptitude
• Someone able to demonstrate logical thinking capabilities to follow through on any given task or project and a willingness to assume increasing responsibilities and carry them out to completion.
• Someone possessing meticulous attention to detail, quality and accuracy in execution of work product and assignments.
• A discerning individual who is professional in appearance and demeanor, able to maintain perspective and objectivity in a workplace and can work interdependently and collaboratively with attorneys, teammates and, where necessary, clients. This includes the ability to explain system functionality, process requirements and applicable policies in laymans terms.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365, including Outlook and basic knowledge of Excel and Word, as well as a PDF program, including ability to add/manipulate text and pages.
• Competent with professional services document management software programs such as NetDocuments.
• Experienced with office machines such as printers, scanners, photocopiers and calculators.
