The Special Education Teacher will provide individualized instruction and support to elementary students with severe disabilities in a structured, substantially separate setting. Responsibilities include developing and implementing IEPs, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with teachers, related service providers, and families to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. This role serves a small, high-need student population. WHAT YOU NEED:
- Valid Massachusetts Teaching License with Special Education ( Severe or Moderate Disabilities) certification
- Eligible to teach in MA through DESE
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
- Designs and delivers individualized instruction for students with disabilities
- Knowledge of MA Special Education laws and IEP development
- Classroom experience MondayFriday in a structured setting
- Experience with students who are nonverbal, on the autism spectrum, prone to tantrums, runners, or wheelchairbound preferred
